Introduction
Cancelling a reservation on Truckbays is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to ensure your cancellation is processed smoothly.
Before getting started.
The option to cancel a reservation is only available to monthly customers. Daily customers are ineligible because they are billed upfront, rather than on a monthly basis.
Does this take effect immediately?
No, even after cancellation of their subscription, the customer will continue to have parking privileges. These privileges will not be immediately revoked, but will instead remain active until the end of the current month. This allows for a smoother transition for the customer and avoids any immediate inconvenience that might be caused by an abrupt termination of parking privileges.
How will they know I canceled their reservation?
We notify customers through SMS, Email, and Push notifications. You are also welcome to notify them as a courtesy.
Does this cost the customer money?
The customer will not receive a bill, and the bay will no longer incur charges to their account.
When can the bay be reserved again?
Starting next month, the bay will be open for reservations. Customers on the waitlist will be automatically notified.
Step-By-Step Guide.
How To Cancel a Bay.

1. Click "Cancel Reservation" on the main dashboard
Initiate the cancellation process by clicking on "Cancel Reservation".

2. Select the customer for cancelation.
Select the customer who's bay you would like to cancel.

3. Click "Next"
Proceed to the next step by clicking on "Next".

4. Select the bay you would like to cancel.
If the customer has multiple bays select all that apply.

5. Click "Next"
Move to the following step by clicking on "Next".

6. Review the cancelation and select "Cancel Bays".
Review your cancelation and select the "Cancel Bays" option to confirm.

7. Click "I understand" to acknowledge the Cancelation
Confirm your understanding by clicking on "I understand".

8. Done! Click "Back to Dashboard" to return
Return to the main dashboard by clicking on "Back to Dashboard".


Note: Cancellation and eviction are distinct. Cancellation is a termination by the customer or us due to various reasons like no longer needing the service, etc. Eviction is severe, enacted when a customer violates our terms, such as non-payment. Both end the reservation, but the circumstances and implications differ significantly.
